Extra Thursday ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle your information when you use our AI workspace assistant ("Service").

1. Information We Collect

We strive to collect and store as little data as possible.

A. Information you provide directly

  • Name and email address: collected when you create an account.
  • We may also use your email address, with your consent, to send onboarding tips, feature updates, and service announcements.
  • No passwords are stored. We use magic links for sign-in.

B. Gmail and Google Calendar data

  • When you connect your Google account via OAuth, we access your Gmail and Google Calendar data only to surface it within the AI workspace assistant.
  • We do not store this data. All Gmail and Calendar content is fetched on-demand per session.

C. Message and conversation data

To generate AI-assisted drafts, summaries, and recommendations, we process the text you enter and the responses produced by our models through third-party APIs that provide language understanding and generation capabilities.

Extra Thursday does not use your prompts, attachments, or outputs to train or fine-tune models. We retain only the minimal context needed to fulfill your request.

We rely on these capabilities from LLM inference providers:

  • Natural language understanding and generation
  • Contextual personalization based on the prompts you provide

We currently rely on providers such as OpenAI, Google Gemini, Groq, and Deepinfra to deliver these capabilities.

D. Automatically collected information

  • Minimal diagnostic data (e.g. request timestamps, API performance metrics) may pass through our cloud infrastructure on Hetzner and Google Cloud.
  • We generate operational logs to monitor system health, security, and performance. These logs are retained for up to 90 days before being permanently deleted.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to provide, improve, and communicate about the Service:

  • Fetch Gmail and Calendar content on your behalf.
  • Process your messages via AI to respond naturally and accurately.
  • Authenticate your account and manage access.
  • Improve service reliability and performance.
  • Marketing & Service Communications: With your consent, we may use your email address to send onboarding tips, product updates, feature announcements, and information about improvements to Extra Thursday.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time. To get help with opting out, contact us at privacy@extrathursday.com.

3. How We Share Your Data

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data in these limited cases:

  • Third-party APIs (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Groq, Deepinfra) to process your prompts and Gmail/Calendar content.
  • Composio to manage Google OAuth connections securely.
  • Infrastructure providers (Hetzner, Google Cloud) to host the application.

We require all third-party providers to comply with privacy and security obligations.

4. Data Retention

  • We only retain your name and email for account identification and, if you opt in, for marketing communications.
  • Operational monitoring logs are stored for up to 90 days solely for security and reliability purposes, then deleted.
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including secure OAuth flows, encrypted connections, and minimal data storage. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Privacy Rights

If you're a resident of California or the European Union, you may have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA or GDPR, including the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time.
  • Opt-out of data sharing with third-party processors.
